Merlot; cabernet sauvignon; pinot noir. Chianti; old vine zinfandel; red blends. I love wine. I am best friends with red wine.

So, it seems only appropriate that while I prepare decor for my new apartment move, I focus on some wine decor.

My latest favorite method of DIY crafting has been chalkboard. Chalkboard wine bottles, chalkboard sign. Anything that I can spray some paint on and decorate with chalkboard markers, sign me up!

I merged my two favorites into one with my latest project:

I still need to cut more wine corks in half and finish the cork board border of the frame (aka I need to drink more wine… oh darn!), but you get the overall picture. And don’t you just love the quote?! Thank you Pinterest!

Chalkboard Wine Art Quote Materials:

This project is super easy to complete, and inexpensive, too! I used the following items to complete it:
– Picture frame with glass (picked up at thrift store)
– Chalkboard spray paint (leftover from previous projects)

Several corks from wine bottles, cut in half, lengthwise

I can’t wait to finish up the frame and hang this beauty in my kitchen. Because, let’s be real, is there ever a reason NOT to love the wine you’re with?! 😉
Also, on a side note to that, has anyone noticed that so many wine brands are switching to the synthetic corks now? Boo-hiss! I want my expanding cork that sometimes breaks off in my bottle! (No but really, what brands do you know of with cute, REAL cork designs? I need this project done ASAP!)

So far, I’m loving these bistro chalkboard markers by Marvy Uchida. They’re so easy to use and create art with, and when you’re done or want to change up your decor, all it takes is a quick wipe with a wet rag, and you’ve got a new, clean slate!

Chalkboard crafts, chalkboard decor, and more chalkboard stuff!

Want some more chalkboard inspiration? Try this patriotic project–perfect for Memorial Day or 4th of July! And stay tuned for my Marvy Uchida Chalkboard Marker Set Giveaway, coming next week!
